A Scrumptious Roast

Posted on September 14th, 2009 by Kimberly Coghlan in Diet Logs

I’ve got a roast in the crock-pot right now, and it smells so wonderful. Not only will it taste divine, but it’s easy to cook, so I’ll share.

To make my roast, all I did was fill a crock-pot with washed and peeled red potatoes and carrots. Then I added the roast. I didn’t even brown mine, but you can definitely do that first.

Then, to the pot, I added 2 beef bouillon cubes, a can of beef broth, 1 packet of Lipton’s onion Soup Mix, 1 packet of Liption’s Beefy Onion Soup Mix, a package of brown gravy mix, and 2 cups of water. I set the crock pot to low, and I’ll let it cook 15 hours or more. Yes. You read that right. I let it cook that long. Believe it or not, the meat will not get tough in the crock pot, and the potatoes and carrots will soak up all the flavor. It’s delicious.
